Higher
Education

www.siue.edu. Southern Illinois University's Edwardsville
branch is located on the SW side of Edwardsville on a beautiful
2600 acre campus. It's an incredible amenity to the community,
(making it a "college town", and offers not only broad
undergraduate programs, but post-graduate, broad offerings in
continuing education, entertainment, and broad opportunities for
citizen involvement in many activites. It's obviously an economic
engine of magnitude, having about 4,500 employees. It contributes
to the fact that Edwardsville Township, in addition to having
the highest mean and median incomes in downstate Illinois, also
has the highest educational level. A detailed web site with a
huge amount of information.
