We at Home Buyers Relocation Services, contending for your home-buying services in SW Illinois have presented a series of articles defining the character of our agency and services. We are defined as an Exclusive Buyer's Agency, meaning we serve only buyers, with client level service and are set apart from all others in that we take no seller property listings.
With total commitment to this revolutionary buying concept, this group has given up their listings to form new buyers-only companies. Reluctantly received by the profession, the movement nevertheless has achieved a well-defined niche in the realty world and growing identity not only in the profession, but in all important national consumer groups and the home buying public.
In February of 1995, these realtors were brought together and formed "The National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents". The sole requirement for membership: neither the agent nor the agency shall take seller property listings! The motto adopted, "Above All, The Consumer", reminding members that buyer-client interests always come first!
We're extremely pleased to have been a pioneering member of this organization. In fact Merrill was elected to be NAEBA's first Treasurer, and its fourth President and has served a total of six years on the board of the national organization.
The association already has developed educational and certification programs, a code of ethics and a national referral network for members. Central to the referral system is a Web site, www.NAEBA.org.
NAEBA has also developed a "Standards of Practice". Here, NAEBA members are reminded of the principals of practice necessary to deliver top service to the home buying public.
Home Buyers Relo obviously subscribes to all of these principals, in fact had a strong hand in creating them, and is proud of its NAEBA affiliation.
The picture on the left shows Merrill "rubbing elbows" with Ralph Nader, a strong supporter of NAEBA's principles.
On the right, Merrill, as President, awarded fellow NAEBA board member, Sue Weinstein of New York, a "Minuteman" award for her service on the board, part of his theme used that year, "A Revolution in the way America buys its homes!"
Don't miss the Scrapbook Item on NAEBA....right column.
